Pickups & Drops

I've completed a pickup system that is easy to expand. Right now, the only drops you're going to get from enemies are health crates (which was the highest priority since there's no way to get more health other than to die, which is not the best player experience).

Expect this to be quickly amended with some form of spendable currency for upgrades and perhaps other limited time based perks.

The rate at which enemies drop loot is quite low right now (roughly 1%), but it's there!

Damage Indicators

So as I've been planning out the various level-based progression of weapons, damage, pickups, enemies, etc etc - it's extremely difficult to inform the player just how valuable what they've equipped is without some form of feedback. So of course, I've done this via the classic method of having a damage text indication. This also works for positive effects, like picking up health crates.

Moar Enemies

Previous versions of the game were built for approximately 3 enemies per player. I've upped that to six in the interim. That should keep you all busy :)

Next Steps

I'm looking forward to the objective system, which is a less trivial task than today's updates, but I'm hoping I can show some movement on it prior to the weekend!
